Yes; we did it for tobacco. And plastic shopping bags. And airbags. And microwaving your fucking dinner in its original packaging. And on and on and on... Now we're warning people about potential emotional harm that may come to them when reading essays on certain topics (not necessarily knocking trigger warnings, but just making a point that we're warned about pretty much everything EXCEPT the risks associated with firearms, and I think we all know why that is). Very, very sad how delusional the United States is about firearms, and the raging hardon a lot of this country has for one constitutional amendment in particular, which the vast majority of them probably couldn't even name three others.
