Hi, Nicole. Thanks very much for your supportive comment and for appreciating my work in this field. I hope you will take this in the spirit of its intent, which is just educational (I am learning every day, too). Part of suicide prevention is being more aware of language used, and there is a movement to try to get people away from the phrase "commit" suicide, because we "commit" crimes and sins, and suicide is neither. It's just unnecessarily negative in tone-- so it's simply best practice to just use factual language: "killed him/her/themeslves", "died by suicide", "take/took their own life." I hope that makes sense and, again, I appreciate the support you've shown me!
