Would be helpful to note Detective Tim Bayliss (played beautifully by the underappreciated actor Kyle Secor) on the 1990's revolutionary Baltimore-based NBC show "Homicide: Life on the Street" explored Bayliss's bisexuality in the mid-nineties; paving the way for moments and characters like the one you write about. Seems odd to congratulate showrunners and the network for being so revolutionary when this was done beautifully decades ago.
